North Yorkshire Carriageway Planning & Surfacing Contractors Framework Award

Following a successful tender earlier in 2020, Thomas Bow City Asphalt has retained a place on the North Yorkshire Carriageway Planning & Surfacing Contractors Framework Contract.

The previous framework, held since 2016, covered carriageway schemes in North Yorkshire, however, the new Framework Contract now covers locations associated with the Yorkshire Highways Alliance (YHA) including North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC), City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council; Leeds City Council; Wakefield Council; Kirklees Council; City of York Council; and the Borough of Calderdale Council.

As the largest county in England, NYCC is responsible for approximately 9000km of highway, including 900km of principal roads.

Along with new clients in West Yorkshire, the new framework includes schemes up to £6m and is valued at £236 – £300m over the next 4 years.

Schemes have began at the end of May under the new framework.
