Leicester City Council Civils Contracts
Having secured the highway patching contract with Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County council in mid-2019; Thomas Bow went on to secure a place on the Highway Maintenance and Construction framework in quarter four of 2019. The new framework contract, which ranges from minor works up to public realm schemes is expected to deliver £16 million in schemes over the next four years.
Continuing the success in Leicester, Thomas Bow also secured the Mansfield Street remodelling scheme, awarded in quarter four of 2019 and has recently started on site.
The multi-discipline scheme includes a new link road to provide a much quicker route out of the city centre for buses leaving the Haymarket Bus Station and a new pedestrian route between Leicester’s two bus stations.
As part of the scheme, Mansfield Street will be upgraded to make it more suitable for buses alongside car park remodelling, retaining walls, landscaping and street furniture.
The scheme is due for completion in mid-2020.
