Colwick Loop Road Regeneration
Thomas Bow City Asphalt has begun work at the site of the former Texaco and Esso oil depot site on the Colwick Industrial Estate in Nottingham.
The site which has been derelict for 12 years, will include a new 82,500 sq ft Sainsbury’s food store with a nine-pump petrol station, a restaurant and a public house; with a second phase to include further leisure developments with a cinema, restaurant and also commercial use.
Thomas Bow City Asphalt will be working with developers City Estates to provide the highway infrastructure necessary to support the site under Section 278 of the Highways Act. The project includes improvements to the existing Colwick Loop Road (A612), a new road providing access to the development and a new roundabout at the southern end of the access road joining with Road Number 3.
The Project is due for completion in the Summer of 2015.
