Responsibilities                             

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Analyse drawings and specifications to prepare accurate costings.
• Negotiate contracts and work schedules with contractors and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress and keep track of costs throughout the lifecycle of a project.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities (BOQ).
• Value completed work and arranged payments to contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong numerical and financial management skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Familiarity with industry software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.

The Candidate will have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Membership or accreditation with a professional body (e.g., RICS, AIQS, CIOB) is often preferred or required.

• Office-based with regular site visits.
• May involve travel depending on project location.
