Weather information systems

An effective and efficient winter maintenance service is only possible with reliable and accurate information about weather conditions, which is why Thomas Bow City Asphalt works closely with the MET Office to develop a series of daily automated reports which show the areas of the UK that have a high risk of icing, based on air temperature and road surface temperature. Thomas Bow City Asphalt will use these predications to help determine any requirements for gritting and snow clearance for your location.

However, Thomas Bow City Asphalt understands that these reports are not always 100% accurate, which is why we use this information in conjunction with our local knowledge, gained from Site Specific Risk Assessments. These help identify any other risks or priorities which may be evident at each specific site, including:
