Thomas Bow City Asphalt are delighted to continue their work with Birmingham Airport with this project on the A45.

The busy site, at the junction of A45 and Damson Parkway, is the main goods entrance to the Airport and just round the corner from the Jaguar Land Rover facility at Solihull. Being such an important junction to these key facilities demanded precise traffic management and a carefully executed programme to minimised disruption.

The project, associated with the runway extensions to Birmingham Airport, involved the resurfacing of the junction, creation of a shared cycleway and footpath along with a new Toucan crossing over the busy dual carriageway.

The project, led by Contracts Manager Brian White saw some six weeks of civil engineering work followed by two and a half weeks of surfacing with day and night works.
